Tow-Away Permits can reserve curb space for moving trucks.
San José's Department of Transportation specifically lists moving trucks and moving pods among the uses for a Tow-Away Permit, which can temporarily reserve curbside parking or parking meters.
The City recommends submitting Tow-Away Permit applications at least two weeks in advance when possible. If your move depends on public curb space, handle the permit before moving day and confirm the approved location when our office follows up.
